Wow, I really stink at this blogging!! We worked for 6 days....don't want to do that anymore. We are SO RETIRED. Then Wednesday night we fried fish for all the volunteers in the park. We cooked as much halibut as people would eat and we still have some left. Sure takes a long time time to eat 52# of halibut. Thursday we went to San Antonio to buy new tires for the jeep and the truck. Yikes!!! Friday it was back to Georgetown to visit with and take my parents to buy groceries and out to lunch. Saturday, we helped Leisure Resort pass out hats at the Houston RV Show.....1,000 hats in 27 minutes. Sunday we went to Fredricksburg, such a fun town to visit. Then today we went to Austin to buy a new washer for the RV and to celebrate our grandson's 9th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!! We always seem to be busy.....don't know how we ever found time to work.

February 7, 2009

Today is the 4th day of our 6-in-a-row work days. Can't believe how hard it is to work so many days now.....we did that for many, many years and didn't think anything about it! How quickly we got spoiled.

We are going to have 2 of our grandsons (Justin & Ryan) tonight while their parents go to a concert. Sometimes it gets a little crowded in our 5th wheel with all of the grandkids "stuff", beds out and 2 extra people but sure is fun!!

Work, work, work...so little stress. This is such a fun life!!! Mike has gone to watch the Harlem Globetrotters tonight with our son-in-law and grandsons. It is kinda nice to be home alone for a few hours but not for too long.

February 3, 2009

These last 2 days have been doctor and travel days!! Yesterday it was our turn at the doctor for annual checkups....felt like a pin cushion. Then on to Livingston to check on mail and register vehicles. We have way too many toys. We have the 5th wheel, a 1 ton truck, a 250cc scooter, a Sea Eagle boat, a Jeep Liberty and a small trailer to pull behind the jeep to haul all the extra toys. We look like the Beverly Hillbillies moving!! We don't take all of our toys unless we are going to be in one place for several months.

Off the subject (again), today was drive to Georgetown, pickup Mom & Dad, take them to the lab for blood work then on to Killeen and Fort Hood to get Mom a new ID card. We left our house at 6am and after 275 miles, we got home at about 6pm. LONG TIRING DAY! Need to go back to work to rest.

February 1, 2009

WOW the month of January went so fast. Friday I spent all day with my parents going to doctors visits and shopping. Mike played golf...said it was not one of his better days!! Yesterday we spent all day watching grandsons play basketball. Ryan had 2 games and Justin had 2 games. Both boys won one game and lost one. Our grand-daughter Casey got her first horse yesterday. Todd got new horse also. They rode horses all afternoon today. Can't wait to go see Casey ride and the new horses.
